More Like Martin Scorsese's The DeFRAUDed. Gottem. (St. Louis Cardinals (51-46) vs. Toronto Blue Jays (53-43))
If I were the Red Sox, I would merely sit the fuck down for the rest of the season.
They’re coming, I swear to god. Actual higher-effort content is on its way within the week, I stake my life on it.
God bless everything about that weekend. No notes from me. Beautifully done all around. Really did a fantastic job bringing it home. And the Blue Jays did pretty good too.
Shame that had to happen on the same weekend that David Ortiz was inducted into the Hall of Fame. Shame that had to happen on what should have been a joyous weekend for the Red Sox franchise. Real shame.
If you like what Jayslam is doing and would like to ensure that I’ll have more time for it in the future, please consider sharing this post with a pal who may be interested! Or an enemy! I’m happy with either.
Likewise, whether this is your first time visiting, or you’ve been enjoying Jayslam for a while now, or if you want to see more of it and/or support its continued existence, please consider getting a paid subscription! Unfortunately, revenues from subscriptions to JAYSLAM are not enough for me to subsist on them on a part-time, much less full-time, basis. The more I can lean financially on paid subscriptions, the more time I can dedicate to everyone’s favourite lightly deranged Toronto Blue Jays blog disguised as a Substack newsletter.
Both free and paid subscriptions are appreciated, but the latter gets you access to exclusive posts, such as the occasional podcast.
TRANSACTIONS
No transactions to report this time around, so this spot will instead be converted into a shrine dedicated to the GOAT, Buck Martinez, who will be returning after an apparently successful thus far fight against cancer.

One would think superstars on a highly competitive NL Central team would want to play as many games as possible, but I guess one would be wrong.
